Farah presides over a very special little boulangerie - the range of breads, pastries, sandwiches and coffee is as expected of a traditional bakery (excellent). What is more wonderful is the warm welcome in a city not always as helpful as you’d hope. Her English is a bit dodgy (better than my French though), but - as happened a few times - she gets anyone in the shop to help translate. That usually leads to a lovely chat and I learnt a lot about the area and the Swiss from the regulars.
It became my local, an oasis at the top of Rue Valentin, which is super steep, a great stop to catch your breath.

They serve coffee and have a selection of traditional boulangerie produce, traditional Moroccan treats and artisanal breads. There are some tables and chairs to sit in, but she offers take away too. You can pay with cash, card or Twint.
