Tried to have a meal here at 4:30 p.m. but was told by a friendly staff that they were closed and would reopen at 6 p.m.
Since my hotel was nearby, I decided to come back at 6 and asked if a reservation was necessary. The answer was no.
When I returned at 6:10 p.m., a different staff refused to seat me because I didn’t have a reservation even though the restaurant was completely empty.
I felt unwelcome and disappointed. Fortunately, a kind lady intervened and showed me to a table by the window. I really appreciated her assistance.
Aside from the above incident, food was up to standard. Beef Stroganoff was as good as many reviews had mentioned.
One star deducted due to the initial encounter.

Read moreThe food here was outstanding — one of the best pastas we’ve had in Wengen! The meat was so tender, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. The risotto and hummus were both delicious as well, though the portions were huge. We honestly hope they can offer smaller servings at a lower price, because even with four of us sharing, it was still too much.
