Al Volo Pizzeria occupies a convenient niche as a solid pre-travel dining option, though it falls short of being a standout destination on its own merits.
The pizza here is decent - not exceptional, but satisfying enough for a quick meal. The crust strikes a reasonable balance, and the toppings are fresh, though nothing particularly memorable sets their pies apart from other casual pizza spots. It’s the kind of food that hits the spot when you’re hungry but won’t leave you planning your next visit.
This is where Al Volo struggles most. The service feels sluggish and inattentive, which is particularly problematic given their target audience of travelers who are often working against tight schedules. Staff seem understaffed or undertrained, leading to longer wait times and missed details in orders. For a restaurant that should excel at efficiency, this is a significant shortcoming.

Read moreI have eaten here twice. First time, I knew there would be nowhere open where I was staying, and the second time, I was staying near the airport, so this place was handy. I had the same pizza both times, and it was very tasty, food and drink were not as expensive as I thought it would be (reason for the second visit). First time I found the staff very efficient, second time the waiter seemed older and experienced, he was working the tables making conversation with the people and advising on various things (imho) creating a little ambiance. I will definitely go there again(might even try a...
