⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re in Neuchâtel and don’t eat at La Brasserie du Cercle, you’re seriously missing out. This place is a perfect mix of warm hospitality, lovely atmosphere, and food that absolutely delivers.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine smiles and great energy, you instantly feel you’re in good hands. The staff know their stuff, and there’s this cool mix of relaxed and professional that makes the whole dining experience top notch.
Now, the food. The beef tartare? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had — perfectly seasoned, silky with that rich egg yolk, balanced with just the right amount of bite. Absolute perfection. Then came the pork — massive, golden, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with fries that had the right crunch. Add in a crisp salad and a glass of wine, and you’ve got yourself heaven on a plate.
Even the little details stood out — the traditional-style plates with Alpine cow designs, the open kitchen vibe, and the sense that everyone here genuinely cares about what they’re serving.
Great food and experience. Casual enough to feel comfortable, but with food and service that could rival high-end spots. If you’re in Neuchâtel try La Brasserie du Cercle.
🔥 Verdict: brilliant. Can’t wait...

The atmosphere is vibrant, with many locals frequenting the spot. The small menu offers delicious local cuisine, including seasonal daily dishes. During our visit, we enjoyed the entrecote with potato gratin, which was well-seasoned and affordable. The Zander filet with morel risotto was equally delightful, accompanied by expertly prepared vegetables.

Read moreI would define this restaurant as an average brasserie.
It's located in the heart of Neuchâtel... very well located.
They have nice ntérieure dining space with nice decorations and also for good weather, big terrace for outdoor dining.
The menu is small but good mix choicebetween meat, fish, vegetarian... which is a good sign of freshness of ingredients. However, there's no flexibility with the dishes for simple changes... for example, it's impossible to change from french fries to other options like rice, vegetables, or anything else.
Another point is that some food is over-salted.
The staff are professional and providing a satisfactory service.
That said, and as I raised it above, the overall experience is in the average... I would not rate it as exeptinal!
It's a good place to have lunch during the week or...
