GRECO ST. GALLEN — Restaurant in St. Gallen

Went here the other day for greek food. The interior is very pleasant light and airy, like you were on a Greek island, the service and staff were pleasant. We found the menu very complicated???

We ordered the fried zucchini a lamd yeeros and a pork yeeros in pita bread. The zucchini came out nicely coloured and cooked with a nice crunch, unfortunately very salty. The lamb and pork yeeros, the bread was nicely grilled with fantastic colour, salad fresh and the fries nicely cooked. The lamb was very tough and chewy, the pork had a bitter taste??? And both with no seasoning. The Tzatziki was plain yoghurt???

Everything looked great, but lacked flavour and taste, I would not call this food Greek, not even flavour of Greece, it was very plain, but I think you already...

Nun das Ambiente ist sehr gut auch das Personal freundlich und sehr schnell mit liefern der Getränke sowie Aufnehmen der Bestellung trotz vieler Leute.

Speise Angebot sehr gross und sehr Griechisch. Preise sind auch in Ordnung.

Habe ein Gyros Teller mit Poulet sowie Schweine Fleisch und Greco Friten mit Feta bestellt.

Nun kommen wir zum aber:

Das Schweinefleisch war an manchen Stellen Roh

Das Schweinefleisch wurde vom Spiess runter genommen und nochmals auf den Grill gelegt was dazu führte das Fleisch Trocken oder Verbrannt war

Das Schweinefleisch hatte keinen Geschmack mehr durch diese Zubereitung

Das Poulet war ohne Geschmack weder Salz, Pfeffer oder Panade noch Poulet konnte man schmecken eher wie noch nicht fertig gebraten

Nun zum Tzatziki:

Wenig Knoblauch in der Sauce meine Meinung

Gute Konsistenz vom Joghurt und Gurken

Brot:

Fein abgeschmeckt und war sehr gut zum Rest

Friten mit Feta:

Aussen gut gebraten und Ihnen noch weich aber waren aus dem Tiefkühler nach meinem Geschmack fader Beigeschmack

Feta Käse war sehr gut

Dessert hatte ich eine Baklava meine Meinung:

Zu trocken und nicht fein gemahlen die Nüsse vermutlich fertig Teig

Honig fehlt in der Baklava wurde mit Zukerwasser übergosssen roch auch nach Mexante

Ein Schuss Zitrone würde eine bessere Komponente bieten

Was mir auch gut gefallen hat ist der Haus Tee. Finde es nur schade das die Fleisch qualität nicht dem Preis entspricht kann auch sein die Ausnahme bei meiner Bestellung.

Erster Besuch und leider ein wenig entäuscht. Würde das Lokal nach meiner Meinung nicht nochmal aufsuchen den es gibt Bessere zu...

Been there twice now. Main takeaway: don't order when you're hungry, there will be too much food. First time we were really quite happy with the overall experience. The second time was a bit of a let down: the fried courgette drowned in frying oil to the point where they were inedible, the gyros just wasn't all that tasty, the music was too loud. But absolute credit to the staff: when asked if the music could be turned down, they did that and significantly improved our experience. All in all: a bit of a mixed...
