Came here with a friend who lives in St Gallen who was able to sort out the ordering and menu. But shortly after entry the waitress clocked I was English and immediately brought me an English menu which was really kind.

We ordered some Salad with Italian dressing to start followed by the 'House' Fondue which came with bread with the potatoes and pickles being optional (but absolutely necessary) extras.

Drinks wise we had white wine which was lovely and dry and paired excellently with the Fondue.

The salad tasted exceptional and so did the Fondue which incorporated the local 'Spicy' cheeses from Appenzell and was setup by our waiter to perfection.

The service was very attentive and efficient. The ambience was incredible and ticked every box of Swiss culture.

Nothing to complain about. If you're in the area and want Fondue, this is the place to be. Next time, I'm definitely going to have to try the Rösti as I hear great things. I would also recommend booking in advance as it...

It was my first time dining in a Swiss restaurant and trying swiss cuisine. The fire show from 'Swiss Fireball' was definitely an unexpected highlight of the meal. Meat portions were acceptable, consisting beef, pork and chicken.

The cheese fondant was super thick and it would be ideal to share with others rather than finishing on your own. I imagine the cheese would also taste good with other meat but bread was all they offered in the set.

It was also my first time trying the Swiss German way made pasta. The texture was surprisingly similar to some Chinese noodles. I would not say it is a must try on the menu though.

Staff was friendly and attentive to details. Overall it was a...

Fondue Beizli is in the old town of St. Gallen and easy to get to by public transport. The restaurant is clean and well lit. There is no special 'swiss-style' decoration, it looks more like a pub to me. The found with the house mixture did hit my taste perfectly and I was in heaven. The house mixture contains Appenzeller, Gruyère and vacherin cheese and it tastes a bit stronger than the moitié-moitié mixture. All in all I had a great experience there and the fondue tastes heavenly. I can definitely...

English menu available. One of the few traditional Swiss restaurants within reasonable prices open on Sat night. Service staff was friendly, pretty rare in Switzerland. They’re famous for the fondue, which came with a large basket of bread. The cheese had a unique spicy and fermented taste to it, not everyone will like it. I had the traditional Swiss noodles with stir fried beef and bell peppers for chf24. It was hot, and reminded me of Asian noodles. Personally enjoyed it much more than the fondue.
