Super nice view, and small but nostalgic and traditional hotel rooms. However, there was no proper reception and we struggled to find someone to check-in at first. The breakfast was fine, with very few but enough options but it was kind of pricey for what was given. Fiona helped us to check out from the hotel, and refused to believe that we had already paid for our accommodation on booking.com, and made us pay the accommodation by treating us rudely, and raising her voice a bit. booking.com is working for the refund of the accommodation we paid already after we created a demand on the website, however were hurt by the reaction. It was a nice hotel to stay in with a cozy concept, the town is small so one night accommodation is enough for Stein am Rhein. Wished we had time to visit the restaurant and eat fish.
