Restaurant Täscherhof — Restaurant in Täsch

My family and I had dinner here after 5 days in Switzerland. Not only was this the most affordable meal we've had, it was also the best one we've had so far. The beef was cooked just right, the veal schnitzel was not too greasy. After a horrible experience with rosti in another restaurant elsewhere, I think it is safe to say that we no longer dislike rosti anymore. Most memorably, my mum has a preference for boiled potatoes (as opposed to fried like rosti and fries, or rice) as her side. Even though it was not listed as an option, the waitress offered to check with the chef, and was able to deliver boiled potatoes as a side.

All in all, this was a fantastic experience, and I highly highly recommend it to travellers coming to Täsch in the future....

Goulash was great - very flavourful and meat was tender. Pairs well with bread. For two people, we ordered one rösti and cheese fondue with extra potatoes for an additional CHF 5. We were surprised by the large amount of potatoes (see photos). Food was good and service was friendly. The flavor of mulled wine was not something I was used to, the ones in Germany were sweeter but it paired well with the meal.
