Quartierbeiz 13 — Restaurant in Thun

I was inspired by the good reviews (of course there always some out there who are never pleased).

Our experience was awesome from the reservation, to be seated, order and eat.

This is the best quality food we had while in Switzerland by a mile. We had spend equal amount of money for far less quality. And I would call this, the price is representing what you get and this is the way it should be.

The staff was amazing and being also greeted by the owner and Chef ads to the ambience and shows that you as the customer are valued.

The best part is that the Quartierbeiz 13 seems to be a local favorite which we always enjoy more because of the atmosphere and also for confirmation that this is a great place otherwise locals would not attend.

We had as appetizers the Thai beef salad and the Berner beef tartare both were not only tasty but also good portions, as a tip, come hungry or order only the main.

As a main we had the big Prawns, the 18 hour slow cooked ribs and the flank steak. Just delicious.

During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian day menus, which showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and innovative flavors.

The creamy green soup served as a pre-meal course was a delightful start to the meal, offering a burst of fresh flavors and velvety texture. It set the stage perfectly for the main courses to come.

The Thai vegetable and tofu curry was a standout dish, with a perfect balance of aromatic spices and tender vegetables. The tofu added a satisfying protein element, while the Thai beef curry was equally impressive, with tender meat and a rich, fragrant sauce that transported me straight to Thailand.

Both dishes were served with steaming Jasmine rice, which provided the perfect accompaniment to soak up the flavorful sauces.

I must commend the exceptional service provided by Ms. Niomi and Ms. Kathaya, who not only recognized us but also promptly attended to our requests with warmth and efficiency. Their attention to detail enhanced the overall dining experience.

Special appreciation goes to Manager Marco for his cool restaurant concept and interesting menu design. It's clear that his passion for food and hospitality shines through in every aspect of Quartierbeiz 13.

Utterly worth taking the short walk out of the town centre to this great place. Staff were beyond friendly and welcoming and the food is a great mix of Asian and hearty meat dishes. We had some of the best dim sum ever - the green curry ones were truly memorable. Then the platter for 2 of flank steak and ribs (pictured). A comically generous portion that filled us up. Solid craft beer available too from the local area. It has that pub/bar feel with sports memorabilia dotted about and there was live Swiss football on too. The owner has really done a great job bringing his travels and experiences to the menu and creating probably the best place in Thun to eat and visit. Cannot recommend...
