Rialto — Restaurant in Thun

I'll try not to write the whole essay here, but there are multiple things about this restaurant I must say I'm not satisfied with.

1)Pizza: Ordered Pizza Italia. At first I must say I'm not a big fan when all ingredients are separated, I could understand this kind of way on "Four Season", but when there are tomatoes, mozzarella and spinach it doesn't make any sense. Alright, could be my own preference. What the most I didn't like is that Mozarella had a very bizarre texture, it was more like a cottage cheese and it didn't go together with Pizza at all. Another little detail is that served tomatoes should not have a green roots in them (not sure how this thing I called). It is not really pleasant to eat it.

2. Bruscetta: Tasted okay, but way overpriced for 4 pieces of 4 cm bread with tomatoes.

3. Service: It seems that all waiters don't have any structure on what they are doing. It felt very hectic. One waiter showed us seats, other gave menu, third brought dishes, fourth gave us check, fifth we payed to... And with all of that, no one asked if we were okay with our meals, didn't ask if we want anything else, when we asked to pay waitress gave bills to us and for people who sat next to our table, but after all took money from them and completely forgot about us... Looking at this from the side it seems everyone is running around and trying to do their job and job of others too what makes them forget things and give very chaotic atmosphere.

4. How in 2023 you still allow guests to smoke in your institution? It's unpleasant smelling all this smoke around. More to that, how can you allow employees smoke in the corridor what leads to the bathroom?

I left this restaurant perplexed. Was really trying to find something good for the end as I usually do, but besides that it's located right next to water nothing comes up my mind.

Sorry Rialto but...

We were traveling at Thun at Easter Friday and we were hurry to grab some food quickly. Even though I saw the review was 4.3 not very high we still decried to try. We ordered Spaghetti alla Rialto and pizza Carnevale. To my surprise both were very good totally better than I expected. Also the waitress was good. She doesn’t smile much like a “good” waitress does but she did good job. The only downside might be that they don’t have any choices for beers. My friend ordered a big cup of beer they didn’t give him anything to choose from, just brought a cup of beer to the table 3...

An amazing meal for 46 of our explorers scout contingent from the UK. We contacted prior to the visit and had wonderful emails from Martin who sorted out a full meal deal for us as a group. We arrived and had a lovely spot near the river with excellent views. The food was all served as pre-ordered, drinks too! The whole group had an amazing time and it’s the best food we have had anywhere on our trip so far. Highly recommend for any families or visitors or large groups if you want to arrange a venue in advance. Thank you so much for your excellent service! West Lancashire...
