Terrible Experience – Deceptive Practices and Poor Quality
I recently ordered Palak Paneer, Dal Makhani, and Garlic Naan at this restaurant, and I was utterly disappointed with both the food and the service.
First off, both the Palak Paneer and Dal Makhani tasted off, but the biggest shock came when the Garlic Naan was served. Instead of fresh naan, we were served something that resembled “kulcha bread” – the kind you can buy in bulk for 20 Rs for 10 pieces in India. We ordered three Garlic Naans and were served three pieces of this packaged bread.
When we raised the issue with the manager, we were met with rudeness. The manager bluntly stated, “Yaha par to aisa hi milta,” meaning “This is what you get here.” This response was not only dismissive but also disrespectful, especially considering that they are clearly deceiving their customers.
To all fellow Indians – avoid this place! The manager’s response makes it clear that they have no regard for the quality or authenticity of the food they serve. And to non-Indian patrons, be aware that you might be getting pre-packaged, ready-to-eat food that is far from fresh and definitely not what you’re paying for. It’s deceptive, and frankly, shameful for a restaurant to operate this way.
I strongly advise against dining here. Save your money and your taste buds – there are far better places that value their customers and serve...
Read moreOne of us found hair in our food half-way and asked to be not charged for it to be fair. But the management, which doesn’t seem to understand how to running a business works, said, since it’s already half finished they’ll still charge half. It felt cheap and further diminished the quality of the average food they serve. An honorable place would strike the item off the bill, since it was one of 7-8 items.
Speaking of the taste of the food, it’s mediocre at best. What they call “biryani” is dyed rice with random spices thrown in at best. It’s not an authentic restaurant at all, just one propped up to serve “Indian food” to ppl who don’t know what the authenticity is. Restaurant should focus more on serving good food instead of trying to be trendy.
Service, and drinks were good. But I don’t recommend coming here. Go to Mahalakshmi nearby which is much better!
Edit: had to come edit my review to respond to your passive-aggressive reply which actually falls in line with the value you put in how you manage that place. Perhaps the staff you hired can help you with taking action instead of the phone call...
Read moreVery cute, simple, little Indian restaurant in beautiful city of Thun in Switzerland. Neat and clean. Very tasty food. We ordered daal makhani which came with rice, lamb biryani, 1 naan, 1 mango lassi and tap water. For all this we paid around 75 CHF but I personally think it was absolutely worth it. Big portion size. Biryani was little spicy for us but we still enjoyed it. Lots of boneless lamb in it and a boiled egg which was a surprise for us but we absolutely enjoyed it 😄. Food was more than enough for 2 people. In fact 3 people could’ve enjoyed it easily as we over ate that day. It was so good. In Switzerland food is expensive but I am willing to pay for a good tasty one like this. I would recommend this place to everyone to try it out. Service is also top notch. Very sweet and helpful staff. If I will get a chance again, I would love to...
