Auberge du Lion d'Or — Restaurant in Versoix

It was my first lunch there today, following recommandation from friands and the good ratings. The qualité of the food seems really good, but I must have been unlucky, because the végétales we're armistice cold, and the meat I had asked rare, was medium plus. I gently told the waiter, but he didn't seem to believe me about the cold vegetables, and proposed me to cook my meat even more. Later the boss (?) asked me as well, I explained/showed him and told him that the quality and taste were very good and that I can accept a little "mistake" ... We ordered to rounds of coffee and honestly expected them to offer at least one, but they didn't, so they won't see me again, and I won't recommend the...

We came as a group of four and ordered about six dishes. Unfortunately, everything was disappointing. The food was overly greasy, drowning in oil. The fish wasn’t fish—it was just burned black oil. The meat was bland and unappetizing. The asparagus was awful. In the end, we couldn’t eat anything and simply left, paying €320 while still hungry.

A complete disappointment. Left hungry for that price. The only positive was the good service. But the chef has no idea how to cook....

The ambiance of the restaurant is fairly nice but the service is very poor. We ordered 2 "entrecote" steaks which were over cooked and the fries were either refried or over cooked as well. Waiters are not keen to give good service, we asked for water twice which never came and was offered when we were leaving.
