This was a very up & down experience and perhaps other reviews I have encountered should have served as a warning. The starter was not fresh, with our samosas cold on the inside, and clearly reheated, however the Pakora severed was excellent. The main of Coconut rice and Aloo Gobi was flavoursome and tasty, although rather small in terms of portion size. There were no alcoholic beverages on the menu. The time it took for food to arrive (during winter with only 5 other customers) verged on the ridiculous, and although the food was good, it was not great or beyond. No real excuse for such a slow and inattentive service. A mixed bag.

I was wow 😲 ed by the Interiors of the Hotel. The hotel was maintained cleanly. On a bright Sunny day or on a pleasant evening you have the option to sit outside the hotel and have the Indian dishes. Both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian available. For differently abled people use of wheelchair is feasible. The Service was prompt. Aroma and Taste of the food was good. All in all, if i am in Montreux, this is a hotel that i will visit again. The hotel is 7min walk away from Train station.

Had aloo Paratha with curd. 9 CHF for 2 tiny parathas and 3 CHF for literally 3 spoon full of raita. Post that had tea there. Tea was good but the parathas and the curd was a little too short in the serving for the price they charged. Curd/ raita was practically a couple of spoons for which there was a seperate charge in the menu. Was practically a joke in the name of raita. Aloo parathas were more of the size of aloo tikki you get in India. Have given 2 stars only for the Tea.

We went on December 22nd night . We were just walking thru after visiting the Christmas market. We entered the place after seeing the good reviews on Google. We were not hungry so we first we ordered one Chicken Briyani. The lady who served had a very bad attitude. When we said one Briyani she just scoffed at us rudely saying just one Briyani? . She then came back, without even asking an excuse took away the water glasses. Then she was taking someone else order and when they ordered Briyani she was asking wether they wanted it spicy or medium spicy which she didn't even care to ask us. Then she kept the Briyani with a bang on the table and walked away. She didn't even keep spoons for us to eat. I waited 5 minutes to see if she was coming back with the spoons but she didn't. I then got up walked up to her saying how will we eat without spoons. She then returned to the table keeping one spoon as if to taunt us that we ordered only one dish. She was staring all the time. We are people who travel a lot and we don't like to waste food. So we just don't order food at a go and end up wasting it. We wanted to order other dishes but by the way the lady treated us we didn't want to be inside the restaurant anymore. I will Never recommend this joint if this is the attitude they are going to have towards customer. Very worst. Attached is the pic of the food and the bloody lady who treats customer like fools.

By the way we were two adults and one child. No courtesy for...

So today I planned to eat outside after so long and i decided to do my lunch in indian restaurant in montreux so I planned to do my lunch from royal Palais indien restaurant and my first expression was wow as I like the ambience the arrangement of lighting format is fabulous and the lady in counter was very warm welcoming and greeted me once I was their and then escorted me towards the table and handed over me the menu and then I ordered butter chicken my favourite with butter nan bread and once my order is taken then I waited for a while and when my order came I was surprised as lady service me brought me rice too and I had butter chicken with rice and butter nan bread which was delicious and I loved it so much and I ordered spicy but it was medium spicy for me but it's ok.. masala tea is also very good as I use to drink in back india. It's like I am not in switzerland as I am in india. I would like to thank you all for such a nice experience for me... Thanks a lot ... I will recommend it to my friends and will come back again.. in future... And dine again with such a good restaurant.. highly...

Don’t know where to begin. Went there with a lot of aspirations to eat a decent Indian meal after staying away from home for almost a year; only to be disappointed beyond belief. It started with a complimentary papad that was clearly stale and smelt of oil accompanied with a set of chutney & pickles that was clearly used by others before which is understandable but they did not even have the courtesy to refill them. Was just bought out to us straight from refrigeration, and let me say it again used previously. We then received our mains which was naan & gravy. The gravy had no effort put in whatsoever, no garnish, no presentation and last but not the least no flavor or taste. The naan was super thick and just so heavy that I felt sick after eating just half of it. Overall, the food was a complete disappointment and definitely would not recommend this to anyone. For people not from India, this is really not what Indian cuisine is about or even Indian hospitality for that matter. Hope these reviews grab the owner’s attention as this restaurant needs a severe...
