We know the Restaurant Doktorhaus for more than 20 years… it never ever failed!

Now beside that, let me tell you a little something about delicious food they serve that deserve this description in ever aspect and in every detail. I dare to say, the kitchen crew can do magic. Taste is a very personal thing and always lies in the eye of the beholder, but if you ever want to pamper your palate we highly recommend you the following:

Beef tartar with homemade brioche toast (you must ask for the brioche in advance, otherwise there is always toast or toasted house bread available)

Loup de mer in the salt crust with homemade mashed potatoes

Guys this stuff is not from this world… we ate both in many other excellent restaurants. They never ever can compete with Doktorhaus. Give it a try, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed and you will come back.

Doktorhaus has one of our favorite white wine which is an excellent Merlot Bianco Rovere from Guido Brivio from Ticino. It’s one of these wines, you order another bottle because it is so yummy.

Although, we prefer Champagne to such a delicious dinner. Rosé with the Beef Tartar and a Blanc de Blancs with the Loup de Mer. They have Deutz and it fits perfectly. Although, if you intend to have champagne accompaniment like I mentioned, check with the staff whether or not they have Rosé and Blanc de Blancs on stock. Sometimes Rosé and also Blanc de Blancs is not available in house. Happened to me quite a few times in different restaurants in Switzerland but they will organize it for you, if you tell them. But they have alternative champagne on the carte of course.

An absolute disappointment. We eagerly awaited the reopening as we have been regulars for 20 years. Prices had gone up, portions smaller, all new staff who, among other things did not know Wezenbier from Stange. Painful process to pay where we actually had to stand up and go inside to pay. Having tried the bar side, we thought maybe we were just unlucky, so we also visited the actual restaurant on a later date. Same experience. The good old Doktorhaus is forever gone, and a Walliseller icon is lost. Luckily we have found a replacement not...

Jubiläum 50 Jahre Guggenmusik Notentschalper am 10.06.23 hier mit rund 160 geladenen Gästen gefeiert. Das Essen war qualitativ gut, das Menü wurde vorbestellt, auch eine Vegivariante stand zur Wahl. Das Personal war überfordert oder zu knapp besetzt. Beim Apero musste teilweilweise lange auf Getränke gewartet werden. Die Häppchen wurden in grossen Abständen, wenn, dann aber sehr viel gleichzeitig serviert. Im Saal stand Mineral in lt-Flaschen auf dem Tisch, da es aber 3 Kat. Gäste gab, wusste das Personal dann nicht mehr genau, wer jetzt welche Fl. bezahlen muss oder im all inkl. Paket enthalten war. Der Hauptgang war geschmacklich gut und optisch ansprechend, aber eher klein geraten. Das Vegi dito. Das 3-erlei Dessert fand grossen Anklang. Auch im Saal war das Personal überfordert, entschuldigte sich mit: Wir haben zu wenig Leute. Das sollte bei einem angemeldeten Grossanlass mit Springer/Temporären lösbar sein. Unsere Gäste haben den Anlass in den höchsten Tönen gelobt, super organisiert und auch dekoriert, aber den Service bemängelt, worauf wir als Verein logischerweise keinen Einfluss hatten.
