My partner and I were seated outside by a friendly waitress, who was directed to move us outside by the Head Waiter, who clearly didn't want to deal with two non-German speakers. Ordered a lovely bottle of Agentine Malbec and then ordered dinner. So we watched as nearby tables were cleared, new patrons sat down and were given their hysterically overpriced meals, then tables cleared again. After exactly 60 mins after we placed our order, our waitress approached and said she was sorry for the delay, but the kitchen is very busy. We agreed to give them 10 more minutes, because we weren't in a rush. When the Head Waiter appeared with what we thought were our meals, imagine our surprise when he put them before the couple sitting next to us. I think they were as surprised as we were! Seems that they had ordered the same meals as us, but they only had to wait 7 minutes. I asked the Head Waiter what the game was, he asked me if I spoke German (seems he had forgotten our first meeting 90 minutes earlier). We told them we were not waiting any longer and left without paying for the wine. Still not sure how to interpret such an evening.... We even saw our waitress clearly arguing with the Head Waiter several times over our meals, and despite not admitting I spoke German, I did understand a little of what was going on. And I think he knows it now too.
Not for tourists.

Read moreWe had lunch here on a weekday and chose from the menu of the day. That menu was not in English, but the waiter answered all our questions, so it was easy to choose what we wanted: soup (because it was cold outside) and deer meatballs with polenta balls and vegetables (ok, not a great translation, but the best I can do...); dessert was caramel mousse and apple rosti. We really liked the food, and the desserts were great too, because they were not too sweet. Service was nice and fast, and the room looked very nice. Will surely go back...
Read moreAn interesting one.
Staff were great and they had a great selection, offering both a seasonal menu and a normal one.
We opted for the salmon and pumpkin soup to start and while the soup was delicious there were quite a few hot spots which indicated that it was reheated, possibly in the microwave??? Hence four stars instead of five.
Our main was absolutely scrumptious. The suggested wine while delicious was clearly too sweet to accompany the main. They have a decent selection of petit...
