Pros: -Food was delicious and the quality of the ingredients undoubtedly shined through -The look and feel of the restaurant is entirely on-point, interior as well as on the water facing balcony -There is decent parking available for those who prefer not to take the train or bike or walk, but it does fill up fast! Cons: -Was seated at a dirty table which was left uncleaned for 20 minutes. -Was not offered the choice of an outside table, though it was open. Sure, I could have insisted, but one shouldn't be steered. -Waited 31 minutes to get my food, no exaggeration. Do not go hungry! (Weird thing to say for a restaurant.) -The servers were kind enough, but seemed understaffed as a ratio and so I saw it as perhaps an organizational or systemic issue. Just be prepared to be patient. I have high hopes for this place as I live nearby and so will try other times to see if the disappointing service was simply a bad luck outlier.

We had gone there a few times in 2012-2016 and always felt that service was poor (mostly unfriendly) and food pretty average for a pretty high price. We decided to give it another try and were very pleasantly surprised: the location has stayed amazing with a view on the lake, the harbour, the city and the Alps. Now the terrasse has a flair, with different corners, but most importantly, service is very friendly and good, and the food is truly excellent. So glad this amazing location is now an uncompromised experience, worth the price asked. Maybe one little downside: the whole service can be a little slow when they're full (which is almost always) UPDATE July 2023: it was full and service was fast, and tap water is free (unheard of in Switzerland)!!

Super tasty food and extremely friendly and multicultural staff. We came for sunset dinner here. We were recommended some local beers by our waiter which tasted great I must say, well done waiter. I ordered a falafel bowl from their summer menu as I wanted something light. Turns out it was a huge bowl with tzatziki, houmous, avocado, chickpeas, falafels and more veggies. Everything tasted amazingly fresh and the blend was great, highly recommend it. We paid about 55 CHF per person splitting the bill. The atmosphere and the setting is the main reason to visit, the views on the lake from the terrace is amazing. I must say the staff were very friendly, spoke English and French in addition to German.

Ridiculously SLOW service! We had to wait for almost an hour in order to be served our starters - mozarella & tomatoes, which is so simple and does not even need to be cooked! Then waited another 50 minutes for our main course, which we ordered as soon as we were seated. I ordered fish and I seemed like they still had to catch it from the lake. It was very disappointing. It is our third time to dine here and they have also been very slow in the past but we only ordered main course previously. Now we ordered starters and it was a terrible decision.

WHY ARE THEY NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THEIR EXTREMELY SLOW SERVICE? I have read many comments about how slow they are and they don't seem to do anything about it.

Food was moderate but expensive and not really worth it.

We had a toddler with us who is usually well-behaved and loves to eat in a restaurant and we don't really have issues eating out but the waiting time for food in the restaurant eventually made him tired, impatient and started to cry (we managed to make him quiet but I felt sorry for him), and in the end we had to eat very quickly and did not have time to enjoy the food because all we wanted was just to go home as it was getting so late.

We were having a nice day and were looking forward to our dinner here but unfortunately it just made us upset and I wished we just booked a different restaurant. The staff saw that our child (the only child in the restaurant at that time) has been waiting for so long for the food but it did not make any difference to them, no consideration at all. In total, almost 2 hours of waiting time and only 15 minutes for us to eat because we had to hurry. The server apologised but it was still a...

A medium-to-large-sized restaurant on the inside, this place also features a roomy lake-view pier section in two parts, one with tables to dine, as well as another to accomodate for an evening drink on barstools.

The rather luxurious interior preludes the seasonal and à la carte dishes; certainly above average foods are sold at only a bit above average prices. I reckon You do well to reserve a table in advance, as things can get busy in good restaurants rather fast.

Staff is competent and very polite, as we went with one of the recommended seasonal dishes for our dinners and were pleased. Salmon steak with a mango avocado tomato twist was a rather sweet new experience for me, personally, but apart from subjective opinion, this certainly was fresh and high-grade fish cooked to its intended perfection.

The wine selection offered at the time of me writing this is good, however I am surprised about some bottled costing rather little money, when comparing it to other restaurants, who seem to run harsher margins.

If you are in the area, looking for a good dinner for the evening to come and got about 60-70 euros per person to spend, you will not be disappointed here.

Thank You...

We enjoyed this spot on the waterfront. The food was great and the atmosphere was very nice even if the prices are quite high. The waiter was friendly and helpful but maybe a bit overloaded as he left the wine bucket away from our table but then wasn't at all attentive about topping up our glasses. I generally prefer that waiters leave the wine next to the table so we can serve ourselves, but if that's not the restaurant policy the least you can do is make sure that customers aren't waiting with empty glasses. Also the dog policy is a bit weird; only small and medium dogs are allowed at the table, with kennels to tie up bigger dogs by the restaurant door, out of sight of the dining customers (the first time that I have ever seen that and absolutely not something I would ever use). Then the waiter refused to bring any tap water to the table for our dog (even though we visited in the middle of a heatwave) and told me to take him out to drink from a bowl of water left out in the sun at the restaurant entrance or down to the lake to drink. Pretty bizarre... I would decide if you are a dog friendly establishment or not instead of messing customers around with such...
