Read moreTucked away in the heart of Zürich, Astra is where culinary magic meets unpretentious fun. From the moment you step inside, the vibe is electric. It’s not the stuffy, white-tablecloth affair. No, Astra is where you go to enjoy yourself—and they’ll treat you like royalty while you do it.
Let’s get straight to the point: their Miso Cod is, hands down, the best I’ve ever had. And yes, I’m making a bold claim here, but hear me out. If you’ve ever dined at Nobu and thought “This is as good as it gets,” you’re in for a surprise. Astra’s Miso Cod is so tender it practically melts at the touch of your fork. The miso glaze is balanced with perfection—not too sweet, not too salty—elevating the delicate flavor of the fish into something truly transcendent. Sorry Nobu, but Astra’s Miso Cod blows yours out of the water.
But Astra isn’t just about mind-blowing food; it’s about the whole experience. The restaurant exudes this effortless joie de vivre—whether it's the vibrant, youthful energy or the laughter ringing from every table, Astra is just plain fun. It’s the kind of place you walk into for a special meal and end up staying late into the night, sipping cocktails because, well, you don’t want the night to end.
The service? Fantastic. The staff here is young, buzzing with enthusiasm, and really know their stuff. You get the sense they actually care about your experience. Whether it’s helping you choose between dishes or just making you feel at home, they’ve got it down.
In short, Astra is a must-visit. It’s the rare combination of world-class food, killer vibes, and service that makes you want to come back again and again.
Trust me, you won’t be disappointed—especially if you order the Miso Cod. Or the Schnitzels and a...
Read moreThis is solely based on my experience. We never get to try the food. When we got there, they weren't serving dinner. However, we meet some nice beautiful people and we enjoy wine, bread and laughter. We just came off the train with our carry-on looking for places to eat, and based on the review, this was the place to eat. We went there and never saw the host, and 2 men came after us and walked in. So a lady in a black suit came out and passed us, and we tried to ask questions because we thought she was the host. We then walked in and saw the server, who we started to question, but he never spoke English. So a customer greeted us who spoke English to explain the time they served dinner. The lady in the black suit came back her name was Kim, to explain why she passed and invited us to her table. They give us wine, which she is the owner for we were shocked. They got us appetizers because that is all they could do because no chef was there at the time. We chat, laugh, exchange information, and keep in contact. Baris and I happen to share the same D.O.B. just a different year. That is what makes it...
