It is such a beautiful place, and the Gessner garden is such a great idea on how to present the history of medicine. The navigation through the garden is very simple, so even I didn't get lost and found what I was looking for. Some of the information about the garden is both in English and in German, which is nice to see, but than comes the Gessner garden, the reason why I visited. And there the visitor doesnt get anything else than German. There is a little spot for leaflets in French, Italian and English, but the leaflets aren't there anymore, and it seems like they haven't been there for quite some time now. Which is very unfortunate. I would have loved to know what plants am I looking at and why Gessner and his contemporaries considered them important.

It might not be a true botanical garden, but its beautiful. A nice green space in the city center. I place to away, even for a few moments, and enjoy some natural beauty and greenery in the midst of all the concrete and buildings. There are some very nice/cool pathes/trails. There is a beautiful glass structure with plants inside such as cactus and some other desert/tropical plants. It's only open during the spring and summer. A must see ! Please see photos also.

Excellent piece of green space in the middle of town. There is no cost to visit and guests can invest as little or as much time as desired. Amidst all the plants was a small sample of structures showcasing glass, wood, or concrete materials. Meandering pathways lead guests through deep jungle-like areas and also high atop overlooking the surrounding city. This park is a great place to relax and features a great variety of visuals. Highly recommended.

Another hidden FREE beauty in the center of Zurich

The botanical garden is on a shared location with the folklore museum. As soon as you step into the garden you are surrounded by peace and beauty. But don't forget to keep on moving! There is must to see in this garden. Go to the top, where you will find a glass house. Sit down and enjoy the view, the peace and quite of this location.

You will find cards with the names of plants / trees throughout this garden.

There is a special pathway to the glass house for people who are not able to climb the...

Its free entrance. In summer is nicer because you have more colors, in winter is still nice because it is a nice place to walk and have a lunch. In a small space you can clima some meterse and have a small view of Zurich, without going far away. The pavillon is closed during Winter, it is small but cute. Next to it there are public free bathrooms, very clean and spacious. There is no parking at all, not inside (only for staff) not blue zone, nothing. There are some white zones for 1fr (30min), 3fr (1hour) or...
