Don Weber — Restaurant in Zurich

A thousand Mexican chefs collectively roll over in their graves every time Don Weber serves a dish. This place is DISGUSTING, just thinking about it makes me want to vomit. In my 10 years in Zurich, this is honestly the worst place I've ever eaten.

The attached picture shows the "green salad" which seems to come with every dish on the menu. The salad bowl is 3/4 filled with some nasty curry dressing. The salad is DRENCHED IN CURRY. It comes like that without warning. It should be labeled "curry sauce with some lettuce".

This place pretends to be a Mexican restaurant but the two signature dishes on the menu are this nasty curry salad and some miserable macaroni with meat sauce.

90% of the menu are unlucky Swiss dishes with an unwelcome Indian twist. One can only guess as to why. Most of the food is frozen, fried, and unhealthy. Avoid at all costs. Literally, if it were the last restaurant on earth, I'd rather starve to death than...

A nice Mexican restaurant with decent food. I had the chorizo burrito which was good and my friends had the beef fajitas which they also enjoyed. They have a nice drink menu with many options to choose from. We had many rounds of drinks and ordered a few 1/2L to try and share multiple drinks from frozen margs to frozen daiquiris. The nachos were a nice little starter, I liked how the chips didn’t get soggy underneath all the toppings. It does get quite loud here when it’s busy but I would definitely come back here again as I want to check it out during the summer as their patio looks very nice. Definitely a nice place to enjoy with friends. The servers here are quite attentive in refilling your drinks and checking to make sure you’re enjoying your dining experience. During lunch time, the food was okay buy not great. Also, the lunch menus don't match the restaurants evening menu at all, so don't expect Mexican food, etc. unless you want to pay dinner prices. The worst though is the "special" lunch menu. It's a "ask the waiter for today's special" (even though the lunch menu seems to change daily anyway) and its availability is limited. When we asked, the waitress wasn't sure what it was and went asking the kitchen. Turns out, there were a very few of one dish and 2 of another dish left, even though we were there by 12 noon and the restaurant was almost empty - making it sound like the special are just the leftovers of the previous day!
