Pizzeria Margherì — Restaurant in Zurich

We went to Margherì Pizzeria after my Italian classmate from German school told us, "You HAVE to go there and try the Margherita, no excuses!" – and he was absolutely right.

I made a same-day reservation for a group of seven, and they accommodated us without any issue. The restaurant was packed, yet the service was flawless. Our waitress kept checking in, making sure we had drinks while waiting for our pizzas. At the end of the meal, the owner even came over to personally apologize for not being able to give us more attention due to the Friday night rush. I found that incredibly kind and humble.

There's a reason they won Best Pizza 2024 – the dough, the ingredients, and the flavors were outstanding. We ordered the Peppino, Chiara, Troisi, Tonno, and of course, the Margherita – every single one was exceptional.

This place is a "hidden" gem in zurich,

The team is amazing, super nice and always attends tou with a big smile and treat the customers as friends.

Their oven is a traditional napoletan oven, the dough has a traditional long rest time and therefore everything is teadutional and IS a real napolitain pizza as it should be. The pizza is the perfec and probably best and most authentic I have tried in zurich (together with riva pizza pop up in summer).

The most awesome dishes they serve are however everything fried, they specialize in the italian light frying method and have amazing sélection of pizza fritta, bocconicini with rucola and arancini !

It even has an outside terrasse in the back for the summer.

I come here often and I recommended many friends, the room is always filled with italian speaking customers.

I had a fried Vesuvio and my wife had a Prosciutto. I'm sorry to say that both pizzas were raw from the middle and my wife's pizza was totally charred black from the edge. Watery ingredients were flowing to my plate when I was cutting my pizza. Seriously dissappointed, looking at the previous reviews I would think I came to a different restaurant. The place is nice and when we were there it wasn't crowded so I'll give that some stars. It was also clean and tidy. The service was friendly and quick, but I when I tried to tell the food was raw I don't think I was even understood, or it was ignored. I was asked if I want the rest of my food in a bag, but honestly I never would have wanted to see that watery dissappointment again. It was my first time but I'm afraid it was my last also. I don't want to risk another time to waste my time and...
