Hallo Beirut — Restaurant in Zurich

Since last year once or twice a week, used to eat Lebanese specialties here. Dany and other chefs were very talented and very polite. Dany left, first taste has changed. I didn’t like the new taste. Then I gave the seconds chance (20/02/2024) evening and went with my wife again. This time taste was better but the manner of the new chef was a bit strange. I gave the order and waited there to check if there was any new food change on the menu which was on the wall. By looking at me a bit rude, he said that I shouldn’t wait there because he needed time for a mise en place. I was in front of the serving unit and was no blockade for anyone. There were only 4 more people eating food. However, He spoke with Lebanese customers in their own language and calling them habibi etc. -which is the only word I can understand -and bla bla … He has laughed and make jokes with them. I believe that He has no idea about hospitality in Switzerland. Come on man, you are in Switzerland and should serve everyone in a good manner and be polite....

ordered food for takeout it was vegan meat substitute ''sandwiches'' /shawarmas... upon entering the carpet was just left sideways and dirty the employee gave me some shook look upon entering wasn't really friendly or enthusiastic. while waiting i noticed that stuffed wine leaves weren't fresh they looked dried up and old also the 2 small deep friers were dirty with old crusted up oil splashes which clearly wasn't just from today cos it was brown. now the food review the vegan chick'n option was tasteless and just sour and vegiboss ''beef'' or whatever was sour too which makes me think they use expired ingredients cos both tasted sour not just light sourness but to the point where it tasted like soap and it lingers. don't recommend it. plus portion size is small...

Excellent food - we got chicken shawarma, falafel wraps, baba ganoush and batata hara. Every single food item was great.

Amazing service - we had a take away order. The food came maybe in 20 minutes. They were apologetic that we had to face the delay. And compensated us with free Ayran and extra pita. Really going above and beyond to serve.

Not pricey - it has been a struggle to find good eat out / takeaway places without really breaking the bank. This one was an exception. 70 CHF for full meals for 4 people and then some, this was...
