Santa Lucia — Restaurant in Zurich

I'm.so sorry but today's experience was cold and serious. The only positive thing was my wife's pizza Michel Angelo... Wonderful like always. But the rest, not as good, my uncle ordered a tagliatelle rabiatta,for him it was not spicy at all.my lasagna, I was expecting better,acid tomatoe and very soft slimy texture,i ate it cause I was hungry and because no waiter asked anything in the whole meal. Now the service,i believe I miss the one that was there one my last visit,giusepoe. We were receive quiet well,we been taken to a table,that I didn't like so I asked for a changed at the back.next to the window, to a table of 4 WITHOUT ANY RESERVED TAG ON IT. the waiter said it was reserved,so I stayed and observed how after 20min he separates that table and puts two couples... Seriously!!?? Got my order and have to wait 15 min to open my bottle of wine...sometimes I feel like getting up and just do it myself,but these PROFESSIONALS ,should stop fotlr a while and get some course of service protocol. I really love this place and I will go back. But I already had an issue in year ago in niederdof and I gave a chance in oerlikon where I was welcomed and delighted. Very good choice for high end Italian food around Zurich.

Recommendable to make reservation, especially on weekends.

The manager and staff is mostly Turkish, but the owner is an Italian, who owns another 45 restaurants.

The quality of the ingredients is astonishing. You taste every little flavor, and the service is very professional.

Waiters are friendly and do know their job.

The atmosphere is nice, having an L shaped room gives a special feeling.

The Pizza Tonno is tasty, probably the right mix of flour and high quality tuna fish, simple but good mix of mozzarella and tomato.

Lasagna was great, really juicy and the smell was uniqly nice. I guess the dishwasher will feel himself not needed.

The Burrata was as a burrata is supposed to be. Liquid inside, hard shell. And right taste. Not mozarella.

All in all, despite highly priced, they deserve the praise for...

Wir waren am 22.4.19 im Santa Lucia. Die Bedienung war sehr gut, freundlich und aufmerksam. Super. Das Essen aber eine Enttäuschung. Preis/Leistung eine Katastrophe. Wir hatten als Vorspeise einen Salat "Insalata Santa Lucia". Die grosse Version für 19.-Fr. Was wir bekamen empfanden wir als Häufchen Elend. Für diesen Preis viel zu wenig und lieblos angerichtet. Laut Karte mit Radieschen. An diese erinnere ich mich gar nicht mehr. Unser Bild Nr. 4 zeigt zwei Salate von Deutschland die zusammen 25 Euro gekostet haben. Für ähnlichen Preis haben wir etwas bekommen das Herz, Phantasie hat und satt macht. Und das doppelt. Dass es in der Schweiz teurer ist, ist mir ja schon klar. Aber dieser Vergleich empfinden wir als Schande. Die Pizza die ich bestellte war eine Frutti di Mare. Vergleicht mal die Bilder wie ich es im Santa Lucia bekam und wie ich es in Italien bekam. Ja, ist schon klar. Ich kann nicht das gleiche erwarten. Aber wenn ich schon mehr als das doppelte bezahle, sollte dies optisch nicht so krass unterschiedlich sein. Sonst ist ein so massiv höherer Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Das dritte Bild ist eine andere Pizza aus Italien. Nicht mal halb so teuer und dazu garniert mit Herz und Phantasie. So wie es sein sollte. Das Essen in dieser Pizzeria ist nach unserer Meinung das Geld nicht annähernd wert. Wir sind entsetzt und enttäuscht. Ich habe mich richtig aufgeregt. Santa Lucia ist schließlich ein Restaurant das sich auf italienische Spezialitäten spezialisiert hat. Eine Pizzeria. Für mich ist es aber rein schweizerische Geldmaschine. Einzig die Bedienung war super. Dank an das sehr gute Personal. Komme trotzdem nie wieder! Reihenfolge der Bilder hat sich geändert: 1. Bild 2 Salat von Deutschland, 2. Bild Pizzas vom Santa Lucia, 3. Bild Frutti Di Mare von Italien, 4. Bild andere Pizza von Italien. Nachtrag weil auf meine Bewertung reagiert wurde: Über die Reaktion seitens "Santa Lucia" bin ich dermaßen erfreut, dass ich meine Bewertung um 2 Sterne aufwerte. In der Bewertung hat man mich darum gebeten meine Kontaktdaten zu senden. Ich fragte mich dann schon ob nun ein Anwalt mir schreiben wird oder war sonst gespannt was kommen wird. Was ich erhalten habe, haute mich von den "Socken". Das wichtigste für mich war eine schriftliche Entschuldigung die ich mich Hochachtung annehme. Man hat sich wirklich viel Zeit genommen und was geschrieben war empfand ich als ehrlich. Das ganze wurde mit einem 50Fr. Gutschein versüßt. Da fühle ich mich wirklich ernst genommen und das verdient diese 2 Sterne mehr. Danke für diese ehrliche und großzügige Geste. Danke dass Ihr Kunden so ernst nehmt und diese Zeit investiert habt.
