Kesslers Club Social — Restaurant in Zurich

It used to be one my favourite places for coffee or some drinks in the afternoon. Today though when I arrived at 15pm they had ALL the tables reserved for 16h30/17h. They said I could stay until the booked time because it was still early. I picked one of the tables that were reserved for 17h on purpose to make sure I could stay longer. However, at 16h24 I was kicked out of the table because allegedly the people who had booked it were already waiting (yes, 36min before the booking time). And the worst part is that the place was completely empty apart from my table and another one. Did they apologize? Went here for cocktails after dinner. We all ordered different drinks, and each drink was absolutely delicious. It was not the case, as in some cocktail bars in Zürich, where certain drinks are simply not very good. Every drink was excellent. The service was also great. The servers have a lot of patience and were willing to put up with us splitting our bill so that we could celebrate our friend’s birthday. The vibe is beautiful and relaxed at night. Very cozy. I just moved to Altstetten last week and I must say I had such a great time here. The waiters and the bar man spoke English with me which already made me feel like home, as my Swiss German isn’t great. The Atmosphere was lovely and the decor was very modern yet classy.
