Lalin Tapas — Restaurant in Zurich

I and my friends ordered seafood Paella for 5 ppl. and the black squid Paella for 2 ppl. The food took approximately 1 hour to arrive. I understand that Paella can take quite some time to prepare, but I find this a bit long. The presentation of Paella was fabulous and photogenic. The quality of the seafood (mainly shrimps and mussels) were very impressive. The accompany garlic sauce was also very tasty. Nevertheless, the rice was extremely salty (only the rice, the seafood was not). We couldn’t finish all dishes despite being very hungry. I have had some Paella in the past in Spain, but it was not this salty. Also, we also think the rice is a bit mushy for a paella. We discussed the saltiness of the rice with the waitress. She informed us that the level of saltiness was normal and we should have eaten the rice with lemon. We actually did try with the lemon. It did help, but it was still too salty....

I visited this restaurant a few months ago, but I had forgotten its name, and now Google Maps has reminded me of the places I visited. It was the worst experience for me and my husband. Unfortunately, I was very excited to try the food, but we waited for more than two and a half hours and did not get any food we did not get the ordered wine because they told us its sold out, only Coca-Cola. However, the table next to us came after us and got the wine we wanted and the food in a short time. We had to leave because we felt ignored ... They did not treat us well However, we left 20 Swiss francs on the table for the cost of the Coke and did not ask for the rest of the money or even the bill because in any case no one paid any attention to our table, so unfortunately we will not return to this...

Lovely menu and staff were initially very nice, but unfortunately two other tables were served long before us :( (even though we were there before them) and it took at least an hour for anything to come out and even then it took another 30+ minutes for it all to be served. The waitress working there was very sweet and apologised but we felt really unwelcome by the other waiter who just seemed very annoyed by us asking what the story was. It’s just a shame because the food was very nice, and all we wanted was an apology and information about when the food was coming. The rude waiter was also drinking with other customers so I don’t think I would recommend it just based on that :( Thank you to the waitress for being nice and I did like the food, its just a shame that waiter...
