Food: one of the best Kebab’s in town. Really amazing.
Service: Even in peak hours, the staff do a great job in terms of customer service; displaying kindness, patience and even some humour. This is particularly impressive as they work in hot, cramped conditions with an almost unlimited queue of people.
Atmosphere: Highly variable depending on how busy it is. See my last point..During peak times it would be akin to trying to eat a kebab in a night club. Otherwise, nothing special but quite a lot of tables.
Wait times: If you come here at the weekend at any normal eating time, forget about it. There will be a line of 50 people. Similar during weekdays but not as pronounced. If you actually want to get served here in less than 15 mins, come on a weekday at 3pm.
Crowd: Due to the very reasonable prices, it attracts a lot of people, particularly young teenagers (the types that like to ride those battery scooters everywhere). On weekends, you’ll see a line of 50 teenagers in tracksuits waiting patiently for an hour for their 14 CHF kebab. If you value your time, I personally wouldn’t waste an hour of my life just to save a few bucks on food. To each their own..
Tl;dr Ironically, the success and value of ‘mit&und ohne’ is also the cause of their greatest weakness; insufferable long lines. If someone asks me if i recommend it, I’ll say “depends when you want to go…” My rating could vary from 2 starts to 5 stars. I’ll give them the benefit of...
Read moreI would like to mention in advance that you can only get a Chicken (or planted equivalent) Kebab in pita bread. But for that, they are exceptionally specialized in this, and let me tell you that the Kebab is godlike. It blows the competition out of the water with absolute ease. The bread is freshly baked, and the sauces are also on a whole different league of taste. Seeing the team working in harmony is an absolute joy to watch and interact with.
You have the choice of doing takeout, or dining in. You will most likely find a spot to dine in if you decide to do so. They also serve it on a platter, which gives it a rather fast-food feeling, but that's completely fine.
I need to point out the negative, which is the only reason for me to remove a single point, and that is the waiting time. You will stand in line, and you will wait. Depending on the situation upwards of 20 minutes, and that, frankly, just sucks. I truly hope that mit&ohne will have the funding one day to open another location like in Zürich Nord, or at least expand their current one, because as it stands, they are getting overwhelmed with customers! The second reason, which is no reason for deducting any points, is the high price. 14.50 for a Kebab is Ayverdi's level of steep, but mit&ohne delivers, and I can say with confidence, the price is right.
I wholeheartedly recommend going to this place and trying this this Kebab, 'cause I will be...
Read moreAbsolutely Fantastic and 5 Stars Worthy! ❤️ I recently had the pleasure of visiting mit&ohne Kebab in Zurich, and I'm absolutely blown away – this place is a true gem! From the moment you step in, you can tell they're passionate about what they do, and it truly shows in every aspect of the experience. What immediately caught my attention was the kebab bread, constantly being freshly prepared. This isn't your average, pre-made pita; it's soft, warm, and the perfect foundation for everything else. Then there are the incredibly fresh ingredients that fill the kebab, from the crisp vegetables to the vibrant sauces. But the real star, in my opinion, is the absolutely top-notch meat quality. It's tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection – you can genuinely taste the care and effort that goes into sourcing and preparing it. Beyond the food, the super friendly staff truly elevates the experience. They're welcoming, efficient, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do, making the whole visit feel comfortable and pleasant. Overall, it was a perfectly satisfying culinary experience. If you're in Zurich and craving a truly authentic and delicious kebab, mit&ohne Kebab is an absolute must-visit. It's more than just a meal; it's a testament to quality ingredients and dedicated service. This place absolutely deserves 5 stars! I'm already looking forward to...
