LIN'S — Restaurant in Zurich

A family run place with a relaxed vibe. The owners are very friendly. We come here from time to time with our two kids in tow. There are a few good child friendly options like fried rice with vegetables, sweet and sour fish fried in a light and crispy batter (we ask for the sauce on the side so the kids can dip on their own) and fried noodles with vegetables and chicken. My husband enjoys the green curry with chicken which has a nice kick without being overpowering. I like the kung po chicken and Sichuan soup.

I am a bit taken a back by a recent review connotating that the owners are in any way rude. On the contrary, I have found them to be very tolerant and accommodating... even when we come with our active three year old who can be a handful. It is one of the few places in Zürich where we feel comfortable bringing our little ones in for a relaxed evening out when we don’t feel like cooking. Just for that, I’d give this...

Have been there twice. Food was pretty good. Staff service and behaviour was disappointing both times. The lady staff who takes orders is particularly rude to people of color and she always comes up with some reason to complain. For example, first time we asked for extra fork and she mentioned providing extra fork is really an unusual service for dine in customers. Second time she complained because we did not order drinks and two people shared a dish that was meant for one person. Although, there was not a signboard or message stating that there is a mandatory minimum order value if you want to be treated nicely in this restaurant. Quite curiously, her this attitude was not reflected over our white friends and companions. Overall, this lack of class and absence of basic decency is never expected from a restaurant in a place like Zurich. Going there twice was too much...

We were craving Chinese, and honestly it was pretty good. We got the wanton soup, sweet and sour chicken and noodles with beef. I would recommend the soup and the sweet and sour chicken. Very fresh, you can tell it’s home made, and that they use fresh ingredients. I wouldn’t go for the noodles again if we go back. But was okay. The service was okay, I only have to say that they took a bit to long to take our order and bring the food but in their defense I can say I saw few uber riders so they might be busier than it looked.
