MO Jasmine Restaurant — Restaurant in Zurich

Food was disappointing to say the least. Social media has hyped it but the pictures posted by the influencers resembles nothing like the actual food served. Chef is supposedly Taiwanese but his Sacha noodle were actually quite disgusting because it was very sweet and the noodles soggy, couldn’t even finish the dish even though we were still very hungry.

The spicy chili duck stew was not bad but the ingredients used inside were not comparable to other authentic Chinese restaurants in Zurich.

Also had the bean curd salad, rice and stir fried water spinach. Portions are a bit smaller than other restaurants and price a bit higher. What disappointed me the most is that they couldn’t even properly cook steamed rice. It was soggy and the rice grains used were of cheap quality. Not sure if they were just having a bad day, chef wasn’t really in the mood to cook perhaps?

I believe that for media influencers they cook one way and for regular days/customers perhaps not the same.

For now, Lotus Garden, Bund 39 and Royal Panda has better food/taste/quality but perhaps not as fancy in terms of setting.

I’m Taiwanese myself and own/operate several restaurants overseas (Europe and Asia) so just trying to be objective with this review as my partner and I had high hopes for this place to be our new go to chinese fix. Perhaps we will give it another try...

I got my soup after 30 mins of waiting, my wife had to wait another 40 mins (after I finished my dish, which to be fair was ok) for hers. Then it came and it wasnt what she ordered, and it was bad. Considering that, even for Zurich, everything is overpriced. Not recommending this place (1st time in my life...

Taiwanese beef noodle soup was super delicious and big portions, my boyfriend ordered the sweet sour chicken was also amazing. We shared one golden bao as starter but was really good so we ordered one more after it. The restaurant is close to tram stop, very easy to get there, will come more...
