Title: A Memorable Dining Experience at Simon's
Upon entering the restaurant,I was immediately embraced by a warm and welcoming ambiance that promised an unforgettable dining experience. The thoughtful interior, characterized by its elegant decor and softly lit surroundings, set the perfect stage for what was to be a remarkable evening.
Service at Simon's was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without being overbearing, and their recommendations were spot-on, ensuring a perfectly tailored experience for our table. The sommelier’s pairing suggestions were particularly impressive, enhancing the flavors of our meals with each sip.
The star of the show, however, was undeniably the steak. Each cut served at [Steak House Name] is a testament to their commitment to quality. I opted for the rib-eye, which was cooked to perfection—a beautiful char on the outside while maintaining a juicy, succulent interior, bursting with flavors that spoke of the steak's premium aging process. The seasoning brought out the meat's natural flavors without overpowering them, a balance that is often hard to achieve.
The sides and appetizers were more than just supporting acts; they were standout performances in their own rights. The truffle mashed potatoes were a masterclass in texture and taste, while the grilled asparagus offered a crisp, refreshing counterpoint to the rich, savory notes of the steak. .
What sets Simon's apart is not just its culinary excellence but also its ability to create memorable moments that linger long after the meal is over. It’s a place where every visit feels like a special occasion, regardless of the day of the week.
In summary, Simon's delivers an extraordinary dining experience that combines exquisite food, impeccable service, and a charming atmosphere. Whether you’re a steak aficionado or simply seeking an exceptional meal, [Steak House Name] promises to exceed expectations and leave you eagerly anticipating...
Read moreWe tried the selection of 3 steaks. The German and Argentinan steaks were really good but the US steak was sour. The quality of the food isn't the reason for low review. The problem was that we mentioned to the waiter a couple of times (after he asked how was the food) that the US steak was a bit sour, they were like it's weird.
At the end, the chef came to us and ask how was the food, we said the same thing. The chef was really surprised and said it shouldn't taste like that. Then he went to the owner or a supervisor asked to allow for some special shot as a courtesy. Before the chef bringing the shot, the owner (or someone with some shares in the business) who was sitting in the next table started asking questions like "we served this 10 times today, how are you saying it's sour and no one else said that?". We were like they asked about the food we said the honest impression, it should be the chef and possibly the owner explaining why it was sour. The discussion went on for a few minutes and he was rudely (I believe in his mind) accusing us of lying not to pay or get something for free. Imagine you're already ready to pay the 340CHF bill with no expectation, and he starts these acuisations in the middle of old town (we were sitting outside). At the end we paid the bill, didn't drink the "free" shot and left.
Not recommended at all only because of this low...
Read moreIt’s a place you want to like because the atmosphere feels good and looks like a cool American steakhouse but it fails and a few different levels.
With the price points being hundred dollars per steak, my expectations were fairly high. The service was odd, because we started with one waiter, and then others rotated through which made it pretty awkward. It appeared the first waiter wound up at a table with eight people so I felt like he abandoned us for a bigger tip, but there is no explanation. This led to getting the wrong wine. Then I ordered a bottle of wine but received a glass of wine, also the wrong one. All of that was unavoidable if there was one waiter. They also brought out the meat on a big platter to show you the cuts before they prepare it🙄 but our waiter left it on our table and the diners table next to us for about 10-15 minutes.
The steaks themselves were very average. My friend ordered the Argentinian steak €90 which was much better than my 60-day dry aged ribeye, which was very chewy and not worth the price of €129 (400 grams) the minimum you can order.
I understand it is a place for special occasions, but the price point compared to the quality of everything didn’t match and I definitely would not go back. The total for two of us with steaks, wine, one dessert and two sides came to 430 francs. 🙄 That’s...
