Tacos Plaza — Restaurant in Zurich

I was born and raised in Mexico City so I am in tacos and Mexican food an expert! I can say that Barbacoa Tacos are in the spot! Very tastefully with a lot of flavor. Size is more then enough! What I would suggest to removed the fresh chopped tomatoes and better do fresh salsa from scratch. The other point I think is very important the quality of the tortilla. Highly recommend to change your tortillas! I suggest that you use Masamor tortillas! The factory is in Altstetten and I would gladly provide you with the contact. Remember tortillas are the second most important part of the dish! If you use high quality tortillas you will be having happy customers. For the Tacos al Pastor can improve more. I missed the pineapple in the taco. Also here change your brand of tortillas and make fresh salsas! I gave you 3 starts out of 5 because know you can achieve on my next visit one more star. I don’t know if I just ordered the wrong dish or if the whole menu is like this, but what an utter disappointment and waste of money. I ordered the nachos with queso. What I got was a very large plate of plain chips with some cheese scattered on top that had been (half) melted under a grill, and two small cups of fresh but bland guacamole and plain chopped tomatoes - not even salsa. Once those were gone I was left with a large plate of just plain chips. Nachos plus a coke came to 17chf. I won’t other going back to try other menu items to see if they’re any better. Of the 5 or 6 "Mexican" places in Zurich, this and one other one are essentially getting' it right. But this is for Tacos Plaza... so, they're still fairly new and some of the staff is still learning the ropes - burrito rolling isn't a skill one is born with, it would seem. But, the refried beans & rice are like I remember in El Paso, Tx. They even use Mission tortillas! The hot sauces are actually really good! The green Tomatillo is super tasty, and the dark red hot sauce is actually hot - legit.

But what actually makes them super good is that they don't stop serving between lunch and dinner... so, are you hungry and it's like...
