The International Beer Bar — Restaurant in Zurich

Good selection of drinks, free WiFi, the workers there are a little different. This is more for a trendy crowd. Small seating and has some limited seating outdoors. No German beer.

Edit: By a little different, that might be used more in America and I apologize for the confusion. They seems happy and fun to be around, but little on the conversation side. As I was drinking, I thought I would throw a little fact at them on how I found the place. I Googled best beer in Zurich and came across you. When I asked the person helping me, the person said "I don't know... the 'Interwebs'" shaking his hands in the air like he didn't care at all to hear that. Also when I asked for a certain type of beer, I was given another one with "Here try this one" as the person walked away. It seemed a bit odd, but maybe it was just the night I was there or the person helping me had a bad day, which we all do as humans. But will I return, yes. I'll gladly give your business a second...

Never written a review before but had such a bad experience at the IBB recently that I feel I should share. Friends from out of country were visiting and we stopped by in hopes of showing them some good Swiss beer (i.e. not Feldschlossen). It wasn't too busy but we did have to wait a bit, not really a big deal but once we were served it was one of the rudest experiences I have had as a customer. We were told that our requests were 'stupid' and that they did not stock any of the 'dumb brews' we had asked about. I'm quite familiar with craft beer, these were pretty standard beers that most craft beer bars have on tap at one time or another. One friend already had a beer so we waited for them to finish and left. It's sad because Zurich is not overflowing with great beer options and I now have one less. I'd rather drink a beer in the park, at least the strangers and squirrels don't talk down...

We returned to this craft brew gem in the heart of Zurich to see how things have gotten along since the last time we were here. With a great relief, the previous bartender is apparently nowhere to be seen. This was immediately noticeable by the pleasant and knowledgeable conversation of the new bartender.

Beers were as always impeccably, fresh and eclectic. On a warm summer day, I simply cannot imagine any better place to enjoy and sample some incredible Craftbrew.

The international pub does not offer their own food, and then partners with the establishment across the way. Unfortunately, the level of the food does not meet the level of the beer on the offer but nonetheless it’s nice to have something to be able to eat if you really need to.
