Casual place. The tables are a but cramped but that's OK. The decorations are old fashioned, which makes a bit of atmosphere. Don't go there for lunch if you need to see customers afterwards, you'll smell grilled meat for the remaining of the day.
Now the food: there's a big selection of various original Cordon Bleu recipes, all home-made. The one I had was tasty and my friends said the same thing about theirs. The only thing is that mine was way smaller than the others, I don't know why. Maybe the recipe? A defect that proves everything is home-made? I don't know but I was disappointed, hence -1 star to what I would have given normally.
There was also an option for a piece of various red meat served on a very hot slab of rock, so you can cook each mouthful the way you like. It's fun. My friends who had this told me the meat was good but not exceptional.
There doesn't seem to be many options for healthy food...

Now the important bit, the food. T'was great! Like really good. Their lovely selection of Cordon Blues was just what I wanted, and on top, they tasted amazing, I tried some from my friends and must say all were great. The price was a bit steep, but hey, the food was good, and their juicy selection of meats and dishes in general was just right. Don't expect an extravagant menu, but if you want you something...
Read moreLoved this place. Says what it does on the tin - nothing fancy, paper tablecloths, bustling, noisy, but very friendly. And some of the best steak I think I've ever eaten. Served to you on a burning hot metal tray, already lightly seared, so you can cook it yourself. A trio of sauces and some good fries accompany the steak. They also make apparently excellent and home made from scratch rosti but the wait was 40 mins and we were starving. The service was a little spotty but it was packed! Two pieces of advice - watch out for the horse steak (two options - one cow and one horse) if that's not your thing and try to book a table in advance as they are...
