Die Johanneskirche ist eine schöne Kirche, die leider oft übersehen wird. Schade eigentlich, denn das Innere hat Charme. Das Innere ist einladend hell, ich war ganz alleine dort. Klar, wer geht schon tagsüber in eine Kirche - gerade in Zeiten, da die Schäfchen ihren Hirten in Scharen davonrennen. Im Moment scheint gerade die Empore in Renovation zu sein, wie man auf den Bildern sieht. Die Kirche wurde im Stil der deutschen Renaissance erbaut. Nicht wirklich ein architektornischer Wurf, aber sie überrascht mit Art-Deco-Details und wärmt das Herz. Der Bau der Kirche dauerte gerade einmal zwei Jahre. 1898 wurde sie eingeweiht.

I attended vespers here and it was absolutely beautiful and reverent. I met the Pastor and she was very nice. They had two musicians playing organ and harpsichord who were amazing. Danke !
