Boungiorno J Ristorante — Restaurant in Da'an District

Really enjoyed my experience here in Bongiorno J Ristorante.

Service was fantastic, the staff there are so funny and friendly! We went in 30 minutes before they close due to our delayed flight schedule, but they still welcome us. Super touched!

Environment is great as well, warm lightings with lovely paintings around the restaurant.

You guys have to try the Baked Garlic Butter Mushroom Escargot and the creme brûlée dessert.

The escargot is baked and seasoned perfectly, super creamy and super flavourful. All the spices and sauce go so well with one another. Just one tiny comment, I think there are slightly too much quinoa at the bottom. But all in all, PERFECT!

For the creme brûlée, OMG, except from perfect I really dunno what else to say about it.

These are my favourite dishes but the rest were done great as well.

very slow food - took half an hour for every dish to come when there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. this might be because there is only one employee in the whole restaurant both taking orders and serving food, although she is quite nice. terrible food; everything was so bland. 500twd for a bowl of truffle risotto which was basically rice cooked with a bit of truffle oil. it could be priced for 100twd at most. the tomato and buffalo cheese salad was also very basic and was like they just bought it from the supermarket and chopped it up and put it on the plate. pizza was basically baked bread with lots of cheese on top and the crust was overcooked and too crispy. the only decent dish was the seabass but it is still...

For a restaurant that has been in business for awhile, I was disappointed. The dishes I wanted to order on the menu were not available, like the lasagna, escargot and a couple of other ones. The server even apologized before we left. All the dishes we ordered tasted alike. For instance the mussels, steak, lamb chops. Honestly, nothing really stood out as delicious.
