I discovered Mod Sequel through a friend and had started to come regularly. The last time I came, however, I was informed that there was a minimum spend and my party didn't meet it, so we could either buy more drinks or pony up $500. I was not aware of a minimum (nobody ever mentioned it and I never noticed anything on the menu, etc.) so I was perplexed. The bartender explained that the minimum is only in effect on weekends and basically shrugged his shoulders when asked how customers can be charged a minimum when it isn't conspicuously disclosed to them beforehand.
