Shanghai Pavilion — Restaurant in Da'an District

Highly recommended. It's difficult to find authentic Shanghainese food in Taipei, this is probably the closest you will get to the real deal in Taipei. The food, service, and ambiance was exceptional. The Shanghai cuisine was exquisite, but my favorite was the dim sum special for lunch. Each dish was a wonderful surprise to our taste buds. Many thanks to the staff Sunny and James who served my family on both our visits. They were very attendant to all our needs and even spoke in Taiwanese to my grandmother....

Amazing experience at Shanghai Pavillion. 38th floor restaurant with a view. We ordered the Delicacy tasting menu. The appetizers were a little small but it makes sense when the dishes just kept coming. Everything was top notch with exception of fish. This was over cooked and not edible. Regardless, the scallops and shrimp was so good. The xiao long bao was delicious. The dessert soup with a sesame mochi was amazing. The atmosphere is very upscale...

I highly recommend you all not to to waste your money here. They do not even use nice dishes to serve foods. Even the fruits were stale and in very chunky shape that makes it absurd to spend that much money! Dumpling was completely ordinary. You can taste way too better dumpling in other restaurants with much cheaper price! The had even spoiled the good taste of lobster. I regret going to that restaurant. Do not get misled over...
