Small Courtyard — Restaurant in Da'an District

This hidden ice-cream store is unique because the ingredients are top quality and natural. It has been so long since I have experienced real ice cream. To ensure the quality, only one flavor is made every two-three days. I have inserted the menu in the picture, and their FB page (type in FB to find it: Jung.yard.softee) shows the days flavor, so you don't have to waste time.

The person I met inside is Jerry who explained everything perfectly in English and I felt as though I was in a special type of Japanese Western unique ice-cream specialist premise.

Today I had the Twinings ice-cream with orange peel on top (price 130nt). Actually, i don't normally pay this for an ice-cream, but I took the chance. And the ice cream itself is well presented and edges are not perfect, because they do not use chemicals to make it smooth.

So, I will be going back again to experience the taste and also to try the beverages, which look so unique.

When I went to this shop, I was actually looking for another place and Jerry kindly explained to me how to get there although that place is a bit of a competitor. From this, you know that he cares about the customers needs more than his own.

Homemade soft-serve, ice cream with only one seasonal flavor a day. You can find out which flavor it is by going on their Facebook site. This is our first time here and we had the Saffron and Iron Guanyin Tea ice cream which was 150NT a cup and so worth it in the Taipei summer heat. The ice cream is not overly sweet and not as milky as say Häagen-Dazs and definitely not chemical taste that the cheapo ice creams have - definitely well made to be light...
