STARBUCKS Yongkang 2F Shop — Restaurant in Da'an District

Here, in Taipei Starbucks, I am very dissatisfied to taste the coffee. It is like "brewed American coffee " when you order cappuccino. The taste is not good, and in the second time I came here, I asked the employee if they were using 100% arabica beans , they said yes it is 100% arabica. Today my third time, I was curious the origin /country of the coffee. The barista didn't know! But very polite and nice went to pickup the bag and read it was from Malaysia. For me big surprise! Normally the Sturbucks franchises use coffee from Latinamerica. Well, I can't tell the reason why the coffee tastes so bad. This is the second time I drink coffee in Starbucks Taipei and the third time in this franchise. I come here, because my hotel is very near. I am travelling frequently and I always prefer Starbuck , because of the standards of the franchise. At Starbucks, one can find soy cappuccino for vegans or people with lactose intolerance, like me. Tucked discreetly on the second floor, this Starbucks has terrific staff and a wonderful layout--the best I've seen so far in Taipei. Entering the stairwell space at street level, you can immediately sense the quality of the store's design. Upstairs, I especially like the bar space where you can sit and watch staff prepare pour-overs (unfortunately no reserve coffees available). Typical Starbucks found on the second floor. The drinks are what you find at about every Starbucks and it offers enough seating opportunity but is a bit crowded . Some tables even have a power outlet. I only gave four stars because the staff was incredibly slow.
