I entered this place because I saw it full of locals and therefore I guessed it was good. I bought a pack of pinapple cake to take home as a souvenir, really nice packaging (and there was a girl working there that offered me to taste a small bite before purchasing them). The bag of 5 pieces was 100 NTD. We also bought 4 other items: a chocolate croissant (quite mediocre, not very sweet), a crispy doughnut (good but nothing life changing), a kind of focaccia (good but a bit strange since the dough was a bit sweet), and the walnut croissant (EXCELLENT, really really good). All these items were 160 NTD if I recall correctly. All in all I would recommend the bakery. It has a vast variety of products and they seem to be high quality, for a fair price. I would really recommend the walnut croissant, it was one of the best pastries I have had in Asia.

펑리수 가게로만 알고 있었는데 다른 맛있어 보이는 빵도 아주 많은 베이커리였어요! 시간이나 현금이 넉넉했다면 다른 빵들도 조금씩 다 먹어보고 싶었는데 너무 아쉬워요. 입장하자마자 맛있는 빵집 냄새가 가득해서 즐거웠어요. 2000NT 이상 구매하면 tax refund해주니 일행들과 함께 구매하세요.

We came by this bakery after having dinner at Din Tai Fung, and bought some pastries and bread for breakfast the morning. Many things were already sold out and the store was packed with many people, so it seems like a very popular place. I love that there are so many bakeries and all have their specialties.

I really like Sunmerry.

They have tax refund despite I am not sure for which expense; They have my favorite bread which is the baguette and it is really delicious and fresh, also price is okay.

Then, they have several sweets and cakes, biscuits. They even sell limes which have a strong taste.

I really like it because they have whole grain bread and whole grain toasts (but I am not sure if vegetarian or vegan).

If there's one thing you must do, it's to buy the breads from this bakery. Sunmerry has several branches in Taipei, but not every branch has a bakery section. The scallion bread (NT32) is to die for, with its fragrance and softness. Do note that you cannot use credit card to pay for the bread, and plastic bags here cost NT1.
