Service was amazing from start to end and the owner patiently explained the menu to my wife and I.
Starters were great (seasoned edamame and daikon) and the owner was nice enough to give me a refill when he noticed I had finished mine. They also serve a free flow of tea.
Main courses were great, a generous portion for the prices paid, and comparable to some of the best gyutan meals I’ve had in Japan. I went for a standard gyutan set and my wife had the premium cut gyutan. I’ve never seen this before and apparently you can only obtain one cut from each tongue.
The sides were also very good. Dessert was a choice of ice cream (Häagen-Dazs - they had an interesting Lotus Biscoff flavour) and an orange.

Read moreAmazing gyutan in Taipei. It is very rare to find japanese beef tongue in Taiwan, let alone a restaurant that serve exactly the same as the one in Japan Sendai. What you pay for is what you get and it is worth every bite.
Had the chance to spoke to the boss a little, and found out he is also a fan of Sendai Gyutan, who even went to Sendai lots of time to figure out the perfect beef tongue.
