FOREIGNERS ARE NOT WELCOMED HERE !
I had a terrible experience at Sato Curry !
Basically, I went there a first time with my girlfriend to have diner, I behaved like a respectful customer and I had a great time there.
One week later, I brought my friend there -he is French as I am- when we arrived, the staff told us that they were ‘’out of stock’’ with a cheeky smile and that 2 hours before the closing of the restaurant.
We were surprised so we decided to stay in front of the restaurant to see what was going on…
Eventually, we found out that 5 minutes later, some Taiwanese people showed up just like we did earlier and asked for a table… They were eating 10 minutes later !!!

Read moreExcellent Japanese style curry, period. Likely the best (rather than one of the best) I’ve had in Taipei so far. (And I am a curry fanatic.) Try to have a beef/pork curry combo over rice so that you may have a taste of their signature. With a splash of chill oil over the curry, this dish is almost addictive. The dine-in experience is particularly interesting: a wonderful combination of hip-hop/rap spirit (as in musical and artistic presentation) and taste. Not many seats though. And pretty much always packed. Visit before peak hours and try to avoid weekend. Takeouts are almost just as good, if you have great hip-hop...
