We enjoyed a delightful brunch on our last day in Hua Lien. Despite its small size, the eatery was busy with both locals and tourists, likely drawn in by its charming atmosphere. The space has a serene and inviting vibe, perfect for a leisurely meal. Service staff seems to be family members and they were really warm and friendly, as they put their heart into their food. Waiting time might be a while.
The eatery is renowned for its sando toast breads, and we were eager to try them. The spicy minced pork sando was a flavorful fusion of Asian spices, with a satisfying kick. The pesto pork cutlet was equally enjoyable, offering a unique and interesting combination of flavours.
We opted for a set that included a drink, a small salad, and pumpkin soup. The plating was visually appealing, with vibrant colours and thoughtful arrangement. The salad dressing was light and flavourful, complementing the vegetables.
The pumpkin soup was rich and creamy, with a genuine pumpkin taste. While the drinks were not particularly memorable, the soy milk was noticeably handmade. I would recommend skipping the coffee, as there are better drink options here.
