First and foremost, the spacious parking lot available for customers is a game-changer. It's a rarity to find ample parking space at most eateries, but this restaurant excels in that aspect. It's a welcoming sight, especially when you're out with family or a group of friends.
The star of the show, of course, is their roasted chicken. It's incredibly tender and bursting with flavor. The succulent meat practically melts in your mouth, making it a must-try for anyone who appreciates quality roasted dishes.
One thing that caught my eye was the abundance of tables available. This ensures that even during peak dining hours, you're likely to find a comfortable spot without much wait. It's an excellent choice for both small and large groups, accommodating everyone seamlessly.
The service at this restaurant is commendable. The staff is not only efficient but also friendly and attentive. You won't be kept waiting long for your food, which is particularly appreciated when you're feeling hungry.
What's unique about this place is its integration with a store that sells snacks from Yilan. This adds another layer of convenience and introduces visitors to some delightful local...
Read moreThis roasted chicken is worth a trip to Yilan. Driving up to what looks like a roadside barbecue joint with a giant plastic chicken out front, it was really the stacks of firewood that got our attention. That and the throngs of hungry lunchers. Coming back a couple of hours later, though, and we skipped the Sunday afternoon masses. There's really not an English menu, but the waiter knows you're there for the chicken, which comes with a small serving of mushrooms and garlic and a bowl of dipping sauce. The side vegetables available are in a display case, and pointing will pretty much do the trick as they seemed to do pretty standard stir fry with all of them. While far more affordable, the sides paled next to the plump, juicy, and flavorful chicken. A video playing in the background explained the birds are marinated with some pretty unique flavors and longan-smoked in giant jars to produce tender barbecues birds.
The only reason for the 4 stars is that at around 650 its a tad expensive for a chicken, and the sides, while more affordable, were pretty standard 100 kuai/hot...

I came here for lunch with my friend while we were visiting Yilan. We arrived around 2 pm and I still couldn't believe how busy it was! There was ample parking but it was on the other side of the road.
The amount we ordered could probably feed a family of 5, yet we still finished everything because of how good it was. We got the roast chicken, some greens, stir fried prawns, fried tofu, rice, and drinks.
The roast chicken was probably some of the best I've ever had in my life, and it paired so well with everything else. The other sides were good too, but I felt like the fried tofu was was too greasy.
Overall, this felt like a classic Asian family meal in a very cozy and spacious restaurant. The food was astoundingly good with tons of flavor. It gave me a sense of family and nostalgia while eating here which is why I enjoyed it so much. I'd highly recommend giving this place a try and I'd come back again if I was ever...
