We were on a 5 days F&E trip to Taiwan from 29/9-4/10.||||Agent recommended this Sun Spring Resort as I have requested a spring spa room.||||As it was pre typhoon micay, we were met with strong wind and rain. ||||Booked a transfer and was Picked up by a very professional driver Mr Xie who brought to us to Luo Dong night market for dinner (on his own accord) 👍after check in.||||He waited 1.5 hr and brought us Back to hotel. It’s along a road and Xie helped us carry our bags to the lobby. The receptionist and in fact every staff wore a pink T-shirt and it’s looks like a Bangkok massage parlour instead of a tourist class hotel.||||The room was big for 4 Pax (we asked for twin bed) but quite ran down with just basic amenities. ||||The only consolidation was the spa bath comes with hot spring water - some privacy. ||||A train past by every 15 mins till midnight as the rail track was just at the back of hotel.||||A big group came in after us and heard them going to the common spa bath. But we left for Lou Dong night market instead. ||||Breakfast was just ok quite a variety although they gives supper vouchers upon arrival but the big group was going up so we left for LuoDong night market 20 mins away. ||||1 night stay is just ok, nice balcony where you can see mountains and clouds in the early morning.||||5 mins away is the fish spa where you can soak your feets in hot spring water and also let the fishes nimble in your soles in warm water pool - quite an experience like ants...
Read moreLocated right on the main line heading North South this place is not worth a visit..one of the pools in the male area was empty of water, the english was almost non existent like the western style breakfast...toast I guess counted as that as the rest was certainly more Asian.||||We booked online and indicated a shuttle bus pickup as offered nominating a train time and number and no show from the hotel shuttle.||||On a good note the level 13 afternoon tea was a great way to start and like the elevator from there it all went down...||||So given it was raining thought let's do dinner in..wrong...... need to book well in advance at the hotel restaurant so we taxied out to a nearby hotel and buffet and loved it (800NTD pp and great food and selection).||||The Japanese style bath in the room was great to chill for one using the spring hot water but if you want to use the outdoor spa then take your own room towel which is like a face washer in size and there is only one towel pp in each room...so as for being a resort..umm someone needs to explain what that really means..tis a hotel and...
Read moreWe spent a very pleasant stay at this hotel. We enjoyed the fish-feet-nibbeling, the open air hot spring spa pool and the gender segregated naked (Japanese style) hot pools very much. It’s clean and the water temperature was just perfect. The restaurant also has to be mentioned as a highlight. It’s a set dinner where you can choose between different main dishes - the seafood was very tasty as well as the lamb and the vegetarian option of mushrooms! The location is very easy to reach by public transport and the hotel also offers renting bikes for free! The staff is very service oriented and friendly. The rooms have a balcony and a private bathroom with hot spring pools as well - only the soundproofing of the rooms isn’t the best. It’s the sounds of the hallway and the neighbouring rooms that you can hear - the sound of the street nearby is not a problem at all. Overall we were very happy with...
