For a restaurant named Beast, the portion size was very disappointing. Not that one should base your meal expectations on the name of the restaurant but after hearing that the burgers were good, we were kinda expecting a decent sized burger as well. Three hungry men went there hoping for a filling meal but left vaguely satisfied. The burgers were nothing to write home about... The patty was nice but everything else pretty ordinary. The size of the burger seemed like it was meant for a kid's birthday party. The most disappointing part of our meal was the refreshments. Two of us ordered the banana milkshake, both tasted like the bananas used were well past being ripe. The milkshakes had that brown mushy sour banana taste. Our other friend ordered the white chocolate milkshake, thankfully that was good. Unfortunately, the milkshakes were small as well. Located next to the Inns Hotel, Beast Bar & Grill has two floors—the first is a bar and restaurant, while the second floor is more of a dining area. I tried several dishes:

• The Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla was delicious—savory with a slight tang, and the portion was generous. The spicy sauce was served on the side.

• The Gyros Fries were also tasty, topped with fries and pork.

• The Caesar Salad was well-balanced, with the dressing just right.

• The Smashburger Deluxe was good, though I think it would’ve been even better if the patty had a hint of sweetness to balance the saltiness.

Overall, the food here was flavorful Tex-Mex, with a salty and tangy profile from the cheese and yogurt. Portions are generous, and the atmosphere is cozy.

Even though it’s a bar, it still feels like a great place for a family to bring the kids—especially on the second floor. If you’re in Kaohsiung and craving Western food, Beast Bar & Grill is definitely...

We stumbled upon this place as it was near our hotel. The menu was clear and the options were fantastic. Interior was very comfortable and clean, and our waitress was vibes. Just super cool, really lovely, explained everything and cracked jokes with us.

Food came out quite quickly and we were more than impressed (SoCal and Texans, so our standards are high but expectations were low as we're thousands of miles away from the states).

The sauces made us feel like we were back home, real buttermilk ranch, tasty buffalo sauce, perfect blue cheese.

Chicken wings were crispy and juicy, not dry at all, smash burger was delicious, cajun fries weren't overdone.. it was a real, authentic US experience.

Our waitress stole the show though. Incredibly lovely, even though English is her second language, she cracked some serious jokes with us and had us laughing and really added to the vibe of the evening.
