Voice-Over Kaohsiung is an absolute must-visit if you’re in the city and looking for a hidden gem with an unforgettable vibe. Tucked away in an unassuming spot, stepping inside feels like being transported to a sophisticated, intimate speakeasy. The attention to detail in the décor is impeccable – it’s stylish yet cozy, with an air of exclusivity that sets the tone for a perfect evening.
The cocktail menu is nothing short of amazing. Each drink is a work of art, from the creative presentation to the meticulously balanced flavors. You can tell the bartenders are passionate about their craft, and they’re always happy to chat or customize something to suit your preferences. Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or just someone who enjoys a great drink, you’ll be impressed.
The staff are equally fantastic – attentive, knowledgeable, and warm without being overbearing. They create an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home, even if it’s your first visit.
The only downside is that the lighting is quite dim, which fits the moody, atmospheric aesthetic but makes it difficult to capture good photos of the beautiful cocktails and ambiance. However, that’s a small trade-off for an experience that’s as exceptional as this.
If you’re looking for a place in Kaohsiung to enjoy expertly crafted drinks in an elegant, relaxed setting, Voice-Over is the place to go. Highly recommend for date nights, small gatherings, or anyone looking for a truly unique...
Read moreThis place has the potential to be the best spot in Kaohsiung, but they need staff to show more warmth and friendliness. I love cocktails and was so excited to visit after a wonderful recommendation from another friend. It was easy to find and is beautiful decorated with plush comfortable seating. The cocktails are unique but a bit pretentious. While some cocktails on the menu are in English, the entire menu is not in English. Also, there is not Chinese available for the English portion of the menu. I was dining with a Taiwanese with good English and he was having a hard time to understand the cocktail descriptions. What this place really lacks is friendly staff. Their English was limited, but even when they were speaking Chinese with my Taiwanese friend, it was still extremely difficult to really understand their meaning or get help. And the staff just didn't seem to care. No smiles, no warmth, no urgency to help. The bartending craft is great, but if you are sitting in a booth, you can't see it. And, it was quite dark inside. I didn't take more pictures because the lighting was so bad. Cocktails are about $350 each. If they are going for a standoffish vibe with their waitstaff, then they have achieved their goal, but I prefer friendly staff who are passionate about helping us find a great cocktail. Will I come again? I'd be willing to give it...
Read moreA wonderful evening in Kaohsiung. If you’re looking for a bar with ambience, a great sound system (spinning some vintage vinyls), and cozy decor for a evening of romantic designs or a lovely get together with friends, Voice Over is the spot. The service was attentive and the bartenders were very fun to watch; the cocktails were beautifully presented and mixed: Bees Knees was fragrant with honey and florals, the Toronto is a smooth rye whiskey with an exquisite maple syrup finish. We also ordered the smoked tofu skin and duck egg for a snack,...
