TRAVEL REVIEW: Dain-Dain Hamburger is a top-notch Taiwanese fast food joint exclusively available in the southern end of Taiwan. Perfect for fast food enthusiasts seeking authentic Taiwanese flavors and a unique dining experience. This store is also really great and has both indoor and outdoor (covered) seating available.
Food: Great chicken burgers similar to the Popeyes flavor profile in the states. BBQ burger is also very good with a tasty Taiwanese style BBQ sauce. The fried chicken is exceptionally good—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, bursting with flavor. Although the menu is only available in Mandarin, there are pictures for each thing.
Service: The staff are efficient and friendly. Even with my bad Mandarin, they were helpful and got the order right.
PROS:
Delicious and high-quality food Exceptional fried chicken Authentic Taiwanese fast food experience
CONS:
Fresh chicken made to order can take a bit longer No English on the menu, which may be inconvenient for some
Local tip: If you're unsure what to order, go for item number 9 Chicken Burger with a refreshing lemon black tea—it’s a customer favorite and won't disappoint! Options are original (boo la)...
Read moreThe place is crowded most of the time. Kids, adult, elder all age are there for their western burger-ish fast food. The store sell both Chinese and Western kind food so you can mix them if you feel like eating both. I know, is abit waste to go oversea just for western fast food. But this is different, i would say is a better standard than other brands. Food: I ordered their 鲜脆鸡腿堡 crispy chicken drumstick/thigh burger (spicy). You can choose between original or spicy though. But i choose spicy instead as their spicy is more popular. Is indeed crispy and have the taiwan deep fried chicken taste. Love it 9/10.

Read moreIt was a decent chicken burger. Not amazing but definitely not bad. I like the fusion of the burger with the soup noodles. And I like the fact it is a local Kaohsiung chain. It’s popular because the staff were really busy. So plan ahead you may have to wait. The inside is small and rundown. If you are getting to go then you are good to go. All around decent food but not a...
