港園牛肉麵 Gang Yuan Beef Noodle 牛肉面及豬腳面專賣店 Beef Noodle and Pork Knuckle Specialty Restaurant
高雄之旅!Kaohsiung Tour!
Came to this wonderful restaurant in Kaohsiung specialized in beef noodle. Located near to Kaohsiung Music Center (by taking Green Line, you can stop at Love Pier Station), the most surprising thing is that even though it's called as Beef Noodle Restaurant, what's truly awesome too is its Pork Knuckle noodle!
The restaurant is quite spacious, but has limited seating. Go to the front counter, let the shop owner know what you would like to eat, pay, and they will arrange a seat for you accordingly. Usually it'll be a long queue, but you'll get to your turn pretty quickly.
Ordered「牛肉湯麵 Beef Soup Noodles」- Delicious! The soup taste is thick, and makes you want to drink the entire bowl right away. The beef meat is tender, and you can chew it right off without any effort. The noodles are smooth, bouncy and soaked well with the broth.
Ordered「豬腳拌麵 Pork Knuckle Noodles」- Super ultra delicious! Super recommended! At first, we were hesitated to ordered this, thinking it may be just the normal sidekicks of the restaurant. Oh boy, it was extremely delicious. The tenderness of the pork knuckles and the meat literally melt in your mouth. It's not oily, and the meat is really easy to bite. The noodle texture is good and bouncy too. The gravy and sauce of the noodle is thick and awesome, the entire bowl of pork noodle is a perfect blend of mastery.
Ordered「豬腳 Pork Knuckle + 豆干 Dried Tofu + 小黃瓜 Pickled Cucumber」- Awesome side dishes. Didn't know that pork Knuckle is just an extra plate of pork knuckle, haha, but it was good, didn't have enough of the delicious pork knuckle! The taste of the dried tofu and cucumber is awesome, a perfect combination with the...
Read moreSupposedly one of the more popular beef noodle restaurants in Kaohsiung. There isn’t exactly a subway stop nearby so we just took the bus and walked less than 5 mins. Ordering was easy~theres a picture menu with English written. Appetizers are self serve in the fridge. You order, pay, then they’ll assign you a seat.
We ordered the beef stew noodle soup and pork hock soup noodles. While I’ve had stronger flavored beef stew, the soup itself was undeniably “refreshing” to taste~a very clean taste. Even on a hot summer day. The pork hock and beef stew bits tender. Noodles perfectly chewy and bouncy. Is it the best I’ve had? No. But does hit the spot if you’re in town.
Cold sliced cucumbers were alright. When we went there was no line, but when we finished and came out, there was a mini line. I could imagine a long line...

Noodles al dente. Three of us shared a bowl of the dry beef noodles and beef noodle soup. If you order the dry noodles, they still serve you a small bowl of soup in the side :)
Since we shared, there's a table across the cashier where we got smaller bowls for individual serving.
We also got a side of some chilled seaweed. Wanted to try the cucumber but they ran out already.
The sitting inside is airconditioned. They also provide a dispenser of water which you can help yourself with.
Find a table and take note of your table number. They usually ask for it when you order so it's easy to find you when your order is ready.
Tables are supplied with garlic and chili condiments,...
