HANSHIN Department Store — Local services in Kaohsiung

The sales person(female) in the Chanel shop is very arrogant and has poor product knowledge . I described the Chanel bag I saw in Hong Kong more than 3 weeks ago. She told me that they have not such kind of bag and gave me an annoying look with black face. I once again told her I did saw it in Hong Kong and regretted not buying it . I asked her maybe they carry it in other shops eg. In Taipei. She kept repeating no such bag and showed me another similar size bag. I told her the bag in Hong Kong costs around HKD53,000 about TW$190000. She gave me another arrogant look and 🙄told me the bag she showed me costs more than TW$200000. Then she took back the bag abruptly and didn't even look at me anymore. So I left the shop very upset. I finally bought the bag along with earrings and a brooch...

Old style department store that doesn’t offer much if you are not into luxury stuff and cosmetics. It looks like it hasn’t been renovated since the 70s and has a nice retro feeling. The upper floors are often nearly deserted. Most boring department store I have ever visited. Only reasons why I go there are the ATMs and the supermarket.

Possibly one of the best department store in kaohsiung. Good variety of luxury brands. Excellent food court plus additional restaurants on various floors. Great for personal shopping or shopping for a gift to give a friend. It's really unlike other department stores in kaohsiung...you only need to visit other department stores to know why Hanshin earns a 5...
