Kaifun — Restaurant in New Taipei

Decently tasty with a controlled menu served in a clean environment, similar to many chain restaurants that are located inside shopping centers. At medium spicy, it was noticeably spicy but not overwhelming. Appetizers were pricier than some of the main dishes. 斷片麻婆雙牛煲 was a revised take on the classic dish by adding meatballs, and the flavor was good albeit with a bit too much ginger. 宮保雞丁 was good, with wok hei, and boneless (280). 熗鍋高麗菜 was well stir-fried with wok hei but pricey (200). 📍第一道菜：流口水雞 Chicken with Sesame Paste, Chili Oil and Peanut（冷盤） 🍽價格$380；辣度🌶；推薦指數：2顆星⭐⭐ 【是一道特別的麻辣風味冷盤。比起一般桌菜淡淡鹹味的白斬雞，這道流口水雞很有味道，獨門芝麻醬汁和辣油淋在鮮嫩帶皮無骨雞肉上，雞肉底下搭配爽脆的小黃瓜絲，算是很開胃的小菜。但兩人用餐會有一點份量太多，吃到最後面稍微膩口，最後打包，隔天當涼拌菜吃完。】

📍第二道菜：白飯 Plain Rice（一鍋） 🍽價格$35（兩個人$70），但白飯可以吃到飽；推薦指數：4顆星⭐⭐⭐⭐ 【白飯聞起來很香；吃起來很Q，沒有一些快炒店白飯的鍋臭味。來開飯川食堂一定要點白飯，我們兩個人就吃一鍋半的白飯了，分別吃了三碗。】

📍第三道菜：梅干鹹燒白 Steamed Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetable 🍽價格$430；辣度🌶；推薦指數：3.5顆星⭐⭐⭐💫 【這道就是很臺灣味的梅干扣肉，其實吃不出什麼四川辣味。這道菜底部梅干很多，梅干吃起來很細緻，沒有什麼纖維感，所以很好入口，豬五花非常入口即化，一點都不肥膩。梅干和豬五花配著白飯一起吃，直接半碗飯就見光。但因為這是川味餐廳，而這道菜在一般餐廳也算常見，所以我不會特別推薦必點，但除此之外，這道不錯。】

📍第四道菜：老火鍋水煮牛 Sliced Beef with Dried Chili Pepper and Bean Paste 🍽價格$530；辣度🌶🌶；推薦指數：4顆星⭐⭐⭐⭐ 【非常有特色的一道菜，牛肉好嫩，只有幾塊有點筋，但大部分都是軟嫩入口又帶有一點嚼勁，牛肉帶有麻辣鍋的香氣，湯頭好喝，整體真的好香好辣好下飯，但同桌友人不喜歡裡面的大豆芽菜，覺得口感和牛肉搭配起來不夠細緻，但我本人覺得大豆芽菜算是增加口感的爽脆，並不討厭。】

📍第五道菜：臭豆腐撞皮蛋 Deep-fried Stinky Tofu with Century Egg and Ground Pork 🍽價格$280；辣度🌶；推薦指數：3.5顆星⭐⭐⭐💫 【這道菜聞起來又臭又香，吃起來也是下飯的不得了。吃得到臭豆腐的臭味跟皮蛋的獨有風味，沒想到這兩樣快炒在一起，風氣這麼足夠，也是讓我們拌飯就嗑了半碗。但也因為這是川味餐廳，所以我不會認為是特色必點菜。】
