Came on a Saturday night around 18.40 in a party of four + a Golden retriever. Naturally, with my lovely dog we can only sit outside and it was absolutely great. Even though, the temperature was aro35-degree Celsius we were blessed with great breezes and a fan. In addition to make the atmosphere more romantic, we were lucky that a gentleman was playing superb music. All these made our dinner a good experience. Since it was a Saturday, they forced us to order set menu and a cake with meal time of two hours maximum. It was acceptable for us because we wanted to find a good place for our dog anyway. However, I am kind of surprised their last order is 19.30 and close at 21.00 A strong suggestion is to close later particularly on a beautiful summer day. The food was all good without any excess of grease or salt. The side soup was delicious (even better on a cold day). The side rice was cooked just right. The fish, seafood, salmon and pig foot were all cooked right. The cakes looked good but I didn’t really like the mango tart because it has a lemon flavor. The service was just with some time we had to call out loud to...
Read moreThe view and environment is impeccable , right by the riverfront , has the best view of the river mouth to the sea. The outdoor seating is spacious and tranquil. I would give 5+ stars for the view. However the menu and taste of food/drinks are sub-optimal, could be better...much better. If I could suggest to the owner(s), your restaurant is sitting at the best spot of the entire waterfront belt. You could make your menu simpler and earthy to match the nature. Do not serve sophisticated food, if you don't have the best chef in town. To name a few items I would love to see on the menu, simple coffee, good selection of beer and wine, finger food such as calamari, chicken nugget, garlic bread, pizza. Warm soup like clam chowder on colder days is very comforting and who can resist oyster on the shell and a glass of wine in front of the best sunset. Cheers, wish your business will only get better...
Read moreWe sat outside for the view which was lovely. The space was spacious. The food was nicely presented. The side dishes were delicious. The main courses were disappointing. I had the pork belly on soy bean noddles. I thought the dish was bland. My friend had the seafood dish which was overcooked. All the seafood was rubbery. The dish was also too spicy. The taro mochi dessert was very good. The oolong mousse was nice as it wasn’t too sweet or rich but the accompanying ice cream had crystallized so not smooth. The servers were nice but lacking in understanding customers should be checked on at this kind of restaurant. Basically no service after the food was served. I would consider returning for the atmosphere and try another one of...
